Rotisserie question.

I'm just curious about something. It looks like a lot of you guys use/have used a rotisserie. Every time I have seen a car on one, it is just the bare body, nothing else. My question is this: Does everything have to be taken off the car to use a rotisserie? I realize that the engine should be out because of fluids, but what if you just want to  replace front floorpans, or fix a frame rail, or just detail the underneath. Is it a strength vs weight issue?

No, I wouldn't think so. It's just that the people who use them are usually working with a car that is in worse shape than your's seems to be.

 :iagree: with mike,all depends how much of resto your doing.i wish i had one right now when i'm trying to blast and get ready for paint,it can be done but with a rottesierre would make it way easier.how for are you going with your ride??been under my car many a nights and neck sure gets fried after a few hours.  :pullinghair: MF---------

Since I'm going to need to do some work on the underside of several cars, I'm debating on whether to get a rotisserie, a 4-post lift, or a car tilter. I suppose the lift would be the most versatile, but it's also the most expensive. Also, I hate working overhead, whether it's standing up, or on your back.
