T/A hood reproductions?
« on: December 12, 2006 - 04:33:56 PM »
I have a buddy who is looking for a T/A hood for his Challenger. I looked at one at PFNfiberglass but it did not impress me. Does anyone know of a place that sells good reproductions at a decent price? Thanks,

Brett

I haven't seen them up close yet, but have heard good things about AAR

http://www.aarqualityfiberglass.com/

They are in Florida, only 1/2hr from me, but I haven't got around to going there.

:iagree: That's who I got mine from and it took a lot of work just to get it to fit, and the details just weren't there on their product.

Check out the AAR Fiberglass one that someone mentioned above.  A friend of mine just bought a Cuda lift-off, with a built on shaker scoop glassed into it. It was a very nice quality hood. They also sell the hinge on style besides the pin-on style.

I looked once and could not find a T/A hood. I was checking them out to possibly get one to trade for a steel R/T hood. I might as well just buy an R/T hood from Goodmark because I cannot seem to find a decent R/T hood close enough to drive and pick up  :faint: Thanks to all who posted and offered advice.

If You want a T/A steel hood,  Scott at Harms sells a metal scoop to weld on to a flat hood.  That way you get a T/A hood without tha bowing and lumps.
