    anybody ever use this book? Or do you just already know where every bolt goes.  :ylsuper:
    Yes, keeping everything bagged and tagged is important. But I can't help but think that this wouldn't help even if you did bag and tag everything. I'll be getting mine this Monday in the mail.  :bananasmi

    Please just mail that too me tomorrow!!   :naughty:  The problem I'm dealing with right now is building an engine from scratch.  None of the stuff comes with nuts and bolts.  So you have to come up with everything.   :pullinghair:

      That is one manual that I could really use. Back in my cars early days I was  going to make it a street/strip car so I removed a lot of parts and things to lighten it up. Then when I blew up the tranny it got pushed into the garage and sat for 20 years. Now I am putting it back to original and I got a couple of jars with some screws and nuts that I have no idea  where they go?  Who did you get that manual from?

    Roger Gibson Restorations is a good place to get the right OEM nuts and blots from. I just spent 120.00 on some from him.

    I think it's a great idea! My body man is a fanatic about using the "correct" bolts, wonder if he's got this book  :clueless:

    4C I beleive you can order a complete "hardware" kit for an engine rebuild from Summit along with of course the gasket kit. Sorry I can not provide order #'s.

    Thanks for the info guys!  I'm half way through it now . . still need a few nuts and bolts like water pump, fuel pump, intake, headers, altenator and a few other things.  Just gonna piece it together as I can't see it costing more than 25 bucks or so.  I am lucky as I have a great hardware store here that has a large selection of nuts and bolt!  More than an ordinary hardware!  If they don't have it, no one will!   :bigsmile:   Just alittle time consuming trying to get the right size and thread.   :-\
