factory tires '70 cuda

I believe the factory rears for the '70 'cuda were F70/15s.  If so, does anybody know the overall diameter of those tires?

I don't think I have ever seen an F70 15 on a cuda. All cudas had the same size tire on all four corners except for the aar which had a E60 15 up front and a G60 15 in back. I think the only 70 series tire came on the E wide tires.

:iagree: Atleast according to the factory brochure there was no F70-15 tire offered at all on any Barracuda/Cuda.

There was however an F70-14 tire and an F60-15 (Standard on Hemi) tire offered.

See this link for a pic of the brochure page with tire options.

Check out the chart here:

http://www.musclecarclub.com/library/tech/tires.shtml

and this is handy too.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html

"Alpha Numeric: G78-14
The "size designation" is a combination of one letter and four numbers and is a three-part code. The letter denotes the sidewall-to-sidewall width of the tire; the two numbers grouped with the letter refer to the height-to-width ratio; and the numbers following the dash indicate in inches the diameter of the wheel rim the tire will fit. Therefore, the above tire is "G" in width, and the sidewall height is 78% of the width. It is designed to be mounted on a 14" wheel."
