70 Cuda - what is the correct shade of Argent?

I purchased a center cap from Year One since only one of mine was missing. Since then I decided to do all 4 and found Mancini Racing's caps to be a few bucks cheaper. I've had great luck with Mancini so I bought another 3 from them. The caps are not the same light Argent shade - the Mancini caps are darker. Has anyone seen the difference and can tell me which is closer to correct for 70?
Thanks. Hope to be getting my painted shell back from the shop any day now! Merry Christmas to me.

Bet you can't wait until the car arrives home after a long time apart . . . I would be dancin'!
As for the argent, I believe the 70 was lighter than the 71 . . . both look good though!

I'm definitely ready to start reassembly! I've been waiting to do this restoration since the rust started getting a real foothold in the early 80's so waiting a few months for body work is no problem.
The different argent shades I'm looking at between the Year One and Mancini products are both variations of the lighter 1970 color. I'm hoping that someone has seen both and can tell me which is closer to the original shade.
Thanks and have a great Christmas.

There are only 2 shades of argent silver. The lighter is correct for the 70 center caps. The darker is for 71 center caps. The darker argent also appears on the grill of a base 70 Chally, and the tail panel of a 70 Challey S/E, so maybe you can compare your caps to either of those, if you have them. If not, post a pic, and one of us will tell you for sure.

Perfect - thanks, Plum! That photo shows that the Year One cap I bought is the closest to the correct color for the '70 cap. Happy New Year!
