Has anyone seen the E-bodies on pages 28 and 29 in the February isue of Hotrod? They are in the Project Garage section.

The Challenger, dubbed Nemesis, is a 420" small block TT, R3 block I hope. It will also have a GearVendors unit and IRS It is being built by Precision Rodware in Glendale, CA. Bad things about it are the bubbled wheel openings and an artists rendering that looks as though it is part Camaro(the upper bodyline at the rear of the door and the driprail molding up by the windshield.

The 'cuda is pretty sweet too. It is a mix between the '70 Plymouth and a '00 Viper GTS. I never get tired of seeing Viper engines in things. The car will have the full drivetrain from the snake including the wheels. The completed car will be at the Mopar Nats in '07. The bad thing about this one, to me, is mirrors. I love the idea but I don't think the Viper mirrors flow with the 'cuda.

I tried the HOTROD website but they obviously want you to buy the magazine to see the photos. It is worth buying because George Poteet's, RadRides built, Blowfish is featured. Can anybody say, "Fastest Doorslammer Ever is a Mopar!"?

Yeah pretty cool and ambitious projects.  I agree that the rendering of the Challenger makes it look like a Camaro      I also wonder why they needed to widen the rear quarters 6" to fit the 345s???  Since it has a full custom IRS why not just modify the frame rails at that point?  Unless they wanted wider quarters for aero?

The Cuda with the Viper motor will end up looking a lot like the 6-shooter Cuda that Time Machines built.  If the guy is doing it himself in his garage, that's pretty awesome.      I agree that the mirrors don't fit the Cuda very well.... I actually think that the stock Cuda mirrors look awesome.

The flared fenders won't add aero. The trick with aero is to attain as little a "footprint" through the air as possible, That means everything tucked in and given a smaller profile. If you were getting serious the size of your front tires would even have an effect. I won't do the math but imagine how much more square inches of surface an 8" wide tire would present over a skinny tire. That is one of the couple of reasons why Salt Fatts racers run a skinny(also light and they only need to go straight). So widening the fenders is more than likely for aesthetic reasons. Why that is appealing to anybody's eye is beyond me.
The car's name is Nemesis, so maybe they are trying to be Bob Johnson's G-force 'cuda's nemesis. The G-force 'cuda is another one of those that is over the top in my opinion. It's level of fabrication is impressive but ugly.
Also, IMO, stock mirrors can't really be improved upon. They fit the car just fine.

LIke I said, I have the magazine but I can't find the pics on Hotrod.com. Next time you're at the store pick up a Hotrod and take a look at the Project Garage section, page 28 & 29. Sorry I can't post any pictures, I don't have access to a scanner. Precision Rodware's website doesn't give any info either.
