  Hi Rufus!

Welcome!  Do you know what year you're looking for?  The '72-'74 Challengers are "cheaper" $ wise.  I've seen decent driver ones around my neck of the woods for $12-$15k, and that's set up with a 440.  The '70s + '71s (in that order IMO) are the more valuable and therefore more $$$.

Here's a link to check out the different years.  Not all the info on this site is correct, ie the 383 was not offered in '72 nor was a 315 2bbl engine.  :roflsmiley:

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Don't forget to check around locally.  I always like craigslist for all sorts of stuff.  If you see one that looks interesting you can take lots of pics and make a post to see what others think of it.  :grinyes:

There is a few Mopar shows around OKC and guys and gals from WAM (Wichita Area Mopars) come down. That could broaden your search up Kansas way. I'm an Okie refugee.

Welcome to the site!  Best of luck in your search of finding a '70-'71 Challenger. :2thumbs:  It's sad, but I know of both a '70 R/T SE as well as a '71 R/T just sitting right now about 4-5 miles from me.  The '71 will be done up nicely, but the '70 R/T SE continues to rot away as the owner is just too ignorant to part with it and see someone else restore and drive it. :swear:
