« on: January 07, 2007 - 08:36:56 AM »
Has anyone tried the hi-temp powder on headers or manifolds ? They say its good to 1000 deg. What does Jet Hot use is it powder or something else ?

I wasn't aware that you could powder coat headers until Kingtroll mentioned to me the other night that he has had his headers powder coated. He said it's only been a couple of months, but they still look good. This interests me, but I would like to know if it holds up for more than a year, and if it can reduce under hood heat like ceramic coating.

The guy that does my powder coating told me about the high temp stuff a few months ago. The prices he quoted me for a set of headers was as much as ceramic coating, so I couldn't really see the advantage to using powder coating as opposed to proven coatings like ceramic.
