Depending on how bad you want it and if the muscle car market keeps going up, I get a loan and purchase it now..

Unless the car is a total piece of crap, or you have room to store the original engine, I would not take it out if we are indeed talking about the numbers matching engine.

"i've found my car"

we didn't know you lost it.  :roflsmiley:  :poopoke:

That sounds like a good deal.  however as other have stated it will be worth more with the orginal motor in it or with it.

if he is advertising it, I would scoop it up now and not wait to see if he finds a buyer.

If it is a numbers matching 383 car, I wouldn't change the motor either, and if possible go get that car now.

All valid comments. A bird in hand is worth two in a bush. There was a post just listed about a fella who had admired a barracuda at a local junk yard for many years. When he finally went to make an offer on the car it was unfortunately gone.  :swear: I say try to obtain a loan or work out a payment plan (in writing) with the owner and get the car now before it is gone!! Good luck and i hope you can get the car NOW. Keep us posted!! :jumping:

I think that is really cool I will someday own a superbee I have always liked them I would also stay with the original motor because you dont see too many superbees let alone with numbers matching drivetrain what condition is the body in I hope that you can get it let us know what happens you really need to capitalize and use punctuation

Seriously, sounds cool!  :swaying:

GIT IT NOW!!!!!!!!

If you wait, it'll be gone and you'll just have one of those, "I almost had a cool car...." story to tell everyone next year.

What condition is it in?  Like the others have said, if it's #s matching, keeep the 383, or do what ever you want and keep the 383 in the corner of the garage.

'69 Super Bees don't grow on trees.  Get it before it's a memory.  So what if you have to spend a little bit now to get it.  When it's gone you'll wish you could've paid twice the difference in price from that $10k.

I feel impelled to add my voice to this thread. If the car is in decent condition FIND the money and get the car. He will find a buyer.

start making payments and keep a running recipt...and if you DO pull the engine... keep it.  I kept the original 383 from the Fury, and when I took my engine out, I put it back in... one of the main reasons the guy looking at it wants it..
