I'm missing the pullys to put the A/C back on my '70 Challenger 383 and need to find the right ones but I'm not sure what that is. can anyone tell me how many grooves are on the crank and water pump pulleys for a car with A/C and P/S ? probably better ask about the alternator and P/S pump while I'm at it too. thanks

crank is 4 grooves.

On mine the crank had 4 grooves, the water pump had 1 groove, the alternator had 2 grooves, and there was an idler pulley as well.

Thanks, so the A/C belt doesn't go around the water pump? I better see if I can find a diagram of an A/C , P/S car belt routing so I get things right.

hERE IS THE BEST PICTURE I HAVE OF THE FAN BELTS. THE FURTHEST FORWARD IS THE WATER PUMP BELT NEHIND THAT IS THE POWER STEERING BELT AND BEHIND THAT ARE THE 2 AC COMPRESSOR AND ALTERNATOR BELTS.

Thanks a bunch that makes sense now, looks like the water pump pulley has a lot less set back than the non A/C one I have now. OK now if I can just find a set.

I'm in Oregon, I need them for a '70 383 but I think all '70 up big blocks are the same?

I'm in Redding California. I'll check and see what Iv'e got. Due you need the idler pulley as well?
