Found a 72 ralleye dash for about 400 bucks. it has the switch panel and is in nice condition. I have a 70 so I will have change the wiring, should I get it or wait for a 70 for probably more $$$

Get it. That's a good price, and you won't have to change the wiring. The only differences between 70 and 72 are cosmetic.

Just curious, does it have the 7k or 8k tach? Some early 72s had the 70-71 style dash.

If it is complete I would buy 72 dash. You could always watch for a good deal on a 70-71 style and then swap them out and sell the later style.

The 70-71 dash has an 8k tach and the reset knobs come through the woodgrain on the dash.
The '72-'74 dash has a 7k tach and the reset knobs come through the gauge lenses.

Thanks everyone, it is a 7K tach. I have to change the wiring as I currently have a standard dash/gauge set up. I thought the price was too good to be true
