 :dunno: But if that lids sealed tight as a drum it should be preserved well.if not,well lets say a pile of rust.  :'(

I need to ask my cousin if its around him because he lives down there...lol he wasn't born at the time and his dad was just born but they might know some more...

There was a topic on the recently and it looks pretty cool!  Can't wait to see what the car looks like!  I checked out the pics and I bet the car is in really good shape!   :grinyes:

Thats a neat article - Thanks 6packcuda. They have the names and guesses recorded on microfilm. Microfilm was in its infancy at the time.

considering I have seen cars down in the swamp, where I grew up, for 30+ years covered in pine straw, leaves and god knows what.. that have survived quite well, I think it will be in good shape.

What concerned me was the tank of gas, crude oil etc they put in with the car...
