I have drove 428 SCJ Mach's and 440 Challengers/ Cuda... I'll take the handling of an E-body any day over Fords Power assist steering fron that era. And then there is the wheel hop thing Fords seem to do. I like Mopars "Jack Rabbit" Launches and planting bussiness to the ground. :2cents:
Cant kill the mean and ugly. Only the good die young...I plan to be here a while!!

Hmmmm... a little European bias?  It rains in Kent 377 days a year?  Do they have longer years over there?  :roflsmiley:

I liked when he was asking questions in Las Vegas.  Sort of like Jay Walking with Jay Leno.

They do have some nice automakers in Europe.  I'm sure they have some crappy stuff too.  That Jaguar isn't exactly the kind of car the average joe can buy over here, or there either.

As far as that 6 way intersection, is he mocking that?  It's called driver courtesy.  He said there's no aggression in the way people drive.  Tell him to come to Boston at rush hour and he can examine the under carriage of a few cars!

Well he came to USA to test American cars but he has never driven saleen s7 or ssc aero which are the best cars on the planet in top speed, handling, acceleration...I have a feeling that people here in Europe are so happy to see that American cars are crap...And Clarkson is always talking about bad american handling and cheap plastic interior thats why everybody likes him. And then there is that stereotype "only for straight line", leaf springs are crap and so on....Almost all Europeans who are interested in cars believe that. How stupid....

Maybe he has a point.

I watch topgear every week, and he doesnt just say bad things about american cars, he says things about all crap cars.

Its not bias, hes just tellin it like it is.

His response to American cars may be not without a point.  Interiors are a big part of the car.  After all, that is what you're staring at all the time when you are driving.  The outside could be nice but if the interior is cheap and crappy then it makes the whole car feel cheap and crappy.

It may have to do with style.  Europeans may have more style.  Look at fashion design.

Americans have the best car desing...Yes it is cheap but just take a good look on the 'cuda and compare it to some European sports cars of that time or compare the saleen s7, corvette z06, dodge viper srt 10 to new Europe cars... I don't know but for me American cars have more style, more personality... Ofcourse they are made from cheaper materials and most of them can't beat Europe or Japan cars on the track but they are just soooo cool. I can't say that American cars have bad interior, I have seen corvette's and it looks and feels good...Clarkson is used to European standards, he is always driving the most expensive cars...Made from carbon fiber with wood interiors...You know what I mean? If you will buy a corvette or any other USA sports car you will be happy with its interior just because you haven't driven a 1000 expensive European cars before...
