Thanks Mike, I have the same questions myself; but only time will tell.  I’m planning to wax the hell out of the mirrors. You’re right, there is definitely a market out there for these parts. It would be in the best interest of the manufactures to spend a little more time and money producing quality parts. Once the word gets out that these parts are holding up and they’re not junk, I’m sure their profits will shoot through the roof. But if the word is that the parts don’t hold up and they’re junk, you’ll probably see the company go under and start back up under a different name. :villagers:

Being new here and having tons of questions on parts (esp. repops) This section would really help.  I tried some door handles off of ebunk and had to send them back....pure junk!!  Advertised as new NOS. :banghead:  I've had my best luck with Y.O. and Josh's stuff.

Thank you for your input and opinion. It sucks when your looking forward to receiving, what you think will be a nice part, but instead find that the part doesn’t fit or looks like a piece of meat. :poopoke: Been their, done that! That’s why I came up with this idea, to help people like us restore a piece of history, making it look as good as possible, with the least amount of pain, and within our budget.

It sure would be nice to have some knowledge about a part or manufacturer before we make an order. It would save a lot of time and heartache. If only someone would step forward and put this thing together for us. I can’t see it being too difficult. Once the foundation is laid, it would be up to us to fill it in. The more information that’s added, the better it will be. Hopefully some day someone will run with this idea and make it work. :2thumbs:
