  Since we're talking about Corvairs.... My mom had a 69 convertible 140 that I absolutely LOVED !!!! I don't care what anyone says, that car handled very well and was fun as ever to drive. plus it had a look that took 25 for Ma to come up with (cab forward)  BTW she bought it new and sold it in 93-94 in near perfect shape for $5,000

 Oh..... sorry CudaGuy I think we've ALL been there in one way or another. mine was a girl though, and I still haven't gotten over her (20 years now) and prolly never will 

 We now return to our regularly scheduled depression session.

Sorry, a bit off topic....

I think just the '60-64 Corvairs had handling issues due to the rear suspension set up.  Later ones handled much better, and safer.

Corvairs are pretty interesting cars.  With the right wheel tire combo they look pretty cool, IMO.  Hot Wheels had a cool looking one called Vairy 8.  The bottom pic is a V-8 conversion.
