hmmm, can you compair them...really?

For tearing loose and racing I would say manual, but just crusing nothing wrong with a TF...I run TF, and doubt I will change them out.

I have always heard that through a manual, it will have a 15% to 20% drivetrain power loss, and through an auto it will have a 20% to 25% loss.  There are a bunch of factors that will determine the true difference, so it is hard to just guess the difference.

I "think" it's a 20-25% loss for Autos and 5-10% for manuals? Quite a bit anyhow. The TF-727 makes up for that in shift time & consistency, though, unless you know how to powershift & get it right 100% of the time, which is hard.

It's been a while, but I read somewhere years ago that 727s were around 40hp, and 904s were in the 30hp range. As far as chassis dynos, most places use 20% loss for an automatic, vs 15% for manuals. GMs are far bigger draws than 727s. But the TF is lighter than a clutch, flywheel, trans, shifter, rods, pedals, and linkages.
