« on: February 14, 2007 - 02:14:16 PM »
A few guys on a mopar e-mail forum that I am a member of had bad experiences with this guy:

QUOTE FROM PERSON #1
"OK everybody be aware of a bad scam from this guy wish we could
nail the pr@# ,,,,this is his e-mail
jkrugerautomechanics@yahoo.com
man this is a nasty scam,he will try to by your car
and want it shipped over sea's, he will give you more than you asked for
it and not ask much about the car and send you a cashers check for
it.  He never saw mine but I sent pics and he didn't say cool, nice
or nothing I asked were he was from but he didn't answer me."

QUOTE FROM PERSON #2

Yes  this same person Jkruger wanted to but my 904 tranny with torque converter. I told him 75.00 he jumped all over it, said he would send me 800.00 for shipping and other stuff, and to send him the leftover money. Then he wanted  my name and address I new this was a scam. so I told him no, and that wasn't good enough so I told him I sold it. So watch out..

anybody on here heard of him?

I haven't heard of him, but that scam has been running a while now. They send you way more than you want for an item in the form of a cashier's check, or money order. You send back the extra money, only to find out the cashier's check/money order is a fake.  :swear:

I asked € 19.500 for my race car..
He havent asked a single question to the car.
Told him to phone me...  Never heard from him again..

""Hello ,
Thank  you for your email.. I finally spoke with my financier this evening.  I did make it clear to him that i finally got a CAR that he will  be financing for me.

After an extensive discussion, we came to  a conclussion as regards to your payment. I told him that i will be  needing  euro10,000, for the CAR and . The difference of this money I told him that I will be using for  THE Shippment of the car and other of my goods.

He however agreed to let
me have the  money and he said he will be sending you a check payment for that  amount. He therefore advice that I get you to provide your physical payment contact address as well as the name to which the check should be made  out to. This you will send to me so that i can forward to him.

Please  do act on this so that your payment can get to you ASAP. My financier  will be calling you as soon as he gets your payment details.I await  your email to this effect.
Regards,
Dr Bill Howard

Its amazing that these guys still catch lots of people off guard and can remain in business. There was a great show on these scams and the reporting crew chased them back to Sweden, I think, where the laws are so lax. Entire aparrtment complexes, every apartment - running these scams. 5 or 6 computers in each apartment running around the clock.
The police said that the cluster a 4 apartment complexes where the group was that were being followed used as much broadband as the rest of the entire city. But no laws were being broken, so nothing could be done.
