Need a cheap, working 2bbl for a 360...

Needed: Cheap 2bbl carb for a 360.

My 16 year old son is having troubles with his carb on his 360 1974 Charger. We rebuilt it, but the choke is not working and he has a flat spot on acceleration. Is there anyone who would have a good, working 2bbl that we could get cheap and put right on? I'm in Kamloops, BC, but will ship it if need be. Thanks!

Can't help you with a replacement but have a little 1st hand story re: my parents '74 360 Monoco that had a stumble from day-1 that the dealership & other shops could not fix.
From a stop the car would stumble or die if you gave it a litte too much gas. When the car was 3-4 years old I replaced the choke spring & the problem dissapeared.

Is that one of those Carter 2bbl's? I worked for a Chrysler dealer back in the 70's,those carbs where a little tricky to set the acc. pump and metering rods. It's been a long time but if the rebuild instruction sheet doesn't have it, go to Google and see if you can find the factory adjustments.  That carb still my be available from a major auto store. Heck , I went to a Advanced Auto Parts store by me and they had every front suspension part in stock for my Cuda except for the pitman arm, I was shocked to go home with everything I needed. I threw out all kinds of 70's factory manuals back in 2001 after I moved out of my other garage...Who knew that stuff would be hard to find.
