How is the console fastened to the floor-mounted brackets?
« on: February 21, 2007 - 11:38:57 AM »
Specifically, what kind of hardware was used from the factory.

Bonus points for anyone who can tell me where to actually find the stuff.  :-)

I didn't see it listed on RT specialties which seems to be the default stop for all things fastener.

They must be healthy to fill those holes in the brackets!

Thanks.

The correct screw is a phillips with a captive washer.  You can use a washer and separate screw for the correct look.  The screw is 1/2 inch long.  The head is 3/8 diameter. I do not know where to get the screw with the captive washer.

Thanks for the pic.

That's very helpful.

The rest of the recently-restored console is done in stainless fasteners, so 100% accuracy isn't necessary. Just reasonable correctness. :-)
