Dash color????

I have a 1973 Cuda with black interior. Is the dash a Flat, Satin, or Gloss black. I know I can order paint from Year One but can I use paint from any parts store??? and what paint should I use that will look right???

I have a '73 Challey & used Krylon Fusion Satin Black(found at Hobby Lobby) & it's a pretty close match, the original color I believe is called suede black that may have had a little less gloss.

The correct Chrysler code is AB61DX9.  The Ditzler code is 9388.

So a satin will match pretty close? Is there a differance between cuda's and Challengers in the dash paint. I don't want to start putting the car together and find the dash the wrong color and it look stupid.

That is the code for the low gloss black that was used on the Challenger's and Cuda's.  It is the same dash frame in the 2 cars.  It will look correct, not stupid. Look for a paint supplier that has PPG paints.  PPG makes the Ditzler paint and can make the paint from this code.  The other paints may look fine.  I have not used them.  I always use this because I know it is what Chrysler used.
