What colors for 71 Challenger switches
« on: January 28, 2008 - 12:12:44 PM »
Hi all. I hope you can help me sort this one out.

I am restoring my 71 Chally conv, and need the correct colors for the switches' names. I have seen various combinations as can be seen in the photos below.
Sometimes, the headlamps color is white and sometimes yellow, and others also vary. The only thing that seems to be constant is the wiper or wiper/washer, as the case may be, which seems to be light blue.
Can you contribute by stating your car year, Cuda or Chally, and state the colors please. An occasional photo will be of help too.

Interestigly enough, all  the US labels that I have seen so far have no illustrations next to the name, where as the one that is on my car (red plastic), although also incorrect for not having the top lift labelled, but obviously came from another "export" model, has such illustrations.
So the other question is, these designs are for export only? And notice there, no colors used.

Thanks for your comments

My '74 has the illustrations beside the lights and wipers although it is a rallye dash. Maybe your switch panel is from a later year.
70 T/A Plum crazy
71 vert. viper red
74 Rallye triple black ( sold )
76 Aspen Wagon
