Soda blasting

Has any one ever did or had done soda blasting?I see that the blaster itself can be got for around $300 but the soda runs $40 per 50lb bag./*I was wondering how much could be done will 50lb.

Many cars, chevelle cowl industion hoods, ect. Works great, but not sure about the sprayer. I have a company that rents theres out and it's a big dollar machine and requires a huge gas engine compressor. 50# would be enough for a hood on that machine not sure about yours. Make sure you use a good air dryer or the soda will clump up or that it is not to humid for the same reason. It will not remove heavy rust or bondo, just the paint. But it don't heat up the panels.

I Soda Blasted my entire 73 Cuda. (Engine bay, Trunk, interior, Everything) It took 8 Bags of soda. I only paid $25 Per bag but I live in Dallas Tx. After Blasting be sure to clean the car in a vinigar water to nutralize the acid then Soap and water or nothing will stick to the car.
