Yeah, that '69, j/k ;D '70 Charger was a rip off in that movie....Guess Hollywood didn't want the Ricers to feel sh!tty when a real supercharged Charger dominates them...so, they just stuck the blower to the hood and left the 318 bone stock..but it still beat them anyways!~ ;D

However though... the first garage shot you see of the Charger... is a REAL 440 Blown Charger... that ain't no bolt on blower there...  ;D ;D I think I read somewhere that the real one ran about 10.5 in the quarter... SCHWEET!! :D ;D

Mike, the engine in the Charger was a 392 Hemi, not a 440. I bout fell out of my seat when I saw it! ;D I saw a movie car at Universal Studios Orlando last summer, and the blower was a cut off fake bolted to the hood like SC73 said. I've got a picture or two somewhere. If I can find them I'll post them.

They weren't advertising a 426 Charger as it was... it was supposedly a 440... but I guess we all were wrong... lol...

It had a 392 not a 426 ?

If you are as familiar with the shape of the early hemi valvecovers as I am, you might have picked up on it. Otherwise it was a kind of quick shot and hard to tell. The early hemis have the distributor at the rear of the engine, the 426 hemis are at the front same as a 440.
