T-bars

ok, if a T-bar only fits one side, and you can tell if you have them in backwards, or two of one kind....and the left and right are of equal size....and length...how are they different?

same length + same diameter = different how?

Can you reword your question?  I don't know what you are trying to ask.

They are different because the hex ends are offset 30 degrees to apply preload to the bars. The left hex is offset to the left,the right to the right. This is why if you mix them from side to side, or have two of one side or the other, you can't get your ride height to set correctly. As the size of the bars increases, this offset is reduced as less and less preload is required to maintain ride height.

both ends of the T bar "Should" have a 3 digit # such as 778/779 in all cases the left bar will be the odd # & the even is the right bar

 :dunno: Just a quick check on those odd/even No's. The odd No. is left, sitting in vehicle, that is drivers side, yes or no??? :clapping:

OK, so you actualy have to instal the bar (one side) ... with the hex ... turnned in a particular direction...

so you would install it(guessing) with the numbers in the upright position?

Nope, that is not an issue. Niether is putting them in backwards either. The hex offset only matters from right to left, not front to back, and there is no orientation on the circumfrence either. Just make sure the left bar is on the left side, right bar is on the right side. You don't ahve to have the numbers in front or back, but having them in back does make it easier to identify them later if so desired.

Yes, typically left and right are derived when you are sitting in the car, regardless of which side you drive from.  :grinno:

OK, I think I miss-read or envisioned your first statement incorrectly...

the entire hex head is cut differently ...ok that oddly enough makes a good picture...thanx...
