Dang Plum! You been reading your wife's romance novels again :dunno:

:roflsmiley:  Nope, when you get to be my age and with all that's going on around my place all the time, I still need to get my thrills somehow and that little story is as close to........uh, well, without actually getting uh, hmm, ah shucks, you know what I mean. And just so I don't get into trouble here, I won't mention what I'm running, small block, big block (in my dreams) or a stroker in that department.   :22yikes:  :2thumbs:

Mopar rule of thumb:

A small block weighs 100lbs less than a big block, a big block weighs 100lbs less than a Hemi.
100lbs cost around 10hp in hp-to-weight ratio. 100lbs is 0.10 seconds at the track.

So, bugger all difference. 10hp loss when you're making 80hp+ more in stock form.

I'm wondering if the weight difference isn't a little greater than 100 lbs....

R/T (big block) weighs 370 lbs more than a small block V8 Challenger.
I'm sure this includes the other beefier components.

Not sure, I got this from either Foose team or some other car builders.
They said it's the basic rule of thumb, always has been, always will be. Perhaps not 318s?  :dunno:
