All I see there is a build sheet and fender tag. Is there a law saying that you can't sell these items?

The auction that you linked only had a broadcast sheet and a fender tag.  I guess I didn't see his other auctions.

Glad to hear your mom's OK. Glad to hear your Modem is OK too....LOL

I can't beleive that someone who has been in the hobby this long would do this. I reported nearly every auction he had. Either he was selling "paperwork" or VIN tags and fendertags...

Honestly, I hope he realized what a grave mistake he made before it was too late.

Glad to see you spotted it too, and made note of it.

Ebay has rules against selling titles, it is also against the law. Ebay has been quite slow to pull these illegal auctions down lately. One of the detectives I know that specializes in VIN fraud has asked me to pass on the following information. He forwards the Ebay auctions to a "special" Ebay email address if the auctions are outside of his jurisdiction. But, Ebay has been lax in shutting these auctions down, so he asked me to ask all of you to help.

If you see a VIN tag, title or both for sale on Ebay, please forward a link to this email address at Ebay;

rswebhelp@ebay.com

Mention "Illegal Ebay auction" in the subject line.

The more people that report each of these, the better chances that Ebay will close the auction and hopefully ban these sellers from the site. The sooner it happens, the better it is for all of us, so please help when you can.  :wave:

T/Ake care,
Barry

How in the world would anyone have a title and tags for their car, but not car? That just does not add up.
Maybe he cut up the car. But then why not sell the remains.....

He has to know that this is illegal.  :poopoke: :horse:

NOw, the other question is, maybe this is completely moot-   How would anyone be able to re-title/register the car?

Here is one that actually has a bid in on it. I have reported it twice, and I have also sent an E-mail regarding this illegal auction.

What concerns me, is that whoever is buying this part may have "shady" intentions.
