i have an extensive knowledge of the power sunroof product from the mid 80's to present, i also have a pretty good understanding of the earlier sunroofs that were offered in the us car market, these sunroofs were mad by asc , the company still exsists but there is nobody in the current company that was there then. they have gone through many corporate changes, i believe your cougar question to be correct, however, it would take someone with a decent handle on welding and preping for a swap, you would have to have and entire roof skin from the cougar, they were flanged, put in place ,then welded, i have personaly put in over 1000 power moon roofs over the past 22 years. i just left the company i was affiliated with after 22 years for a career change just last week! i have a pretty good grasp on what it might take, good luck , incidentaly, i wanna do the same! after being in that industry for so long , i think it only fitting to start seeking sunroof cars!
