I built this 1:24 Monogram model kit in the late 80ies. Didn't understand anything about what a six-pack was, neither the difference between a Dodge nor a US Ford. But I fell in love with the design and immediately knew I had to have one someday.

In the 80ies this customized 70 R/T convertible was displayed on posters for a car event in Bergen. The young babyelephant on his bicycle had to stop everywhere they were hung up and look. Stupid, I didn't take one of those posters home back then.

I got hooked the best way anyone could think of.  My Mom, Dad and I were at a local cruise night and a yellow Superbird clone drove in.  My Dad took me over to talk with the owner, he showed me all through the car.  I think his wife saw me drooling and said 'why don't you take this kid and his Dad for a ride'.  We jumped in, me on the front bench seat, my Dad in the back.  He took us out to the highway, my eyes wide open.  My Dad then leans forward and says 'This is really handling well, feels really solid for 140'.  The guy then turns around and says 'that MPH not KPH'.  From that moment on I knew I needed a MOPAR.  Wish I could find that guy around and thank him.  Saw the car briefly once since

I was 14 and wanted a car. Everyone in my area drove Chevy's and Fords and I wanted a 68 Camero but my brother in law was a mopar guy and had a 68 Coronet 500 with a big block and pistol grip. He told me, why be like everyone else and if I liked muscle cars of that size I should find a Cuda. He then gave me a ride in his car and I was hooked. My dad and I looked for a couple of months and found my Cuda. At first the mustangs and camero guys gave me a hard time but after a few late night races they gave my car some respect but always treated as an outsider. I always found it funny that there were not really chevy guys or ford guys but rather Mustang guys or Camero guys. I really sort of liked being the oddball and now with Mopar cars being the "in" thing, I miss the old days when you knew if the guy was driving a mopar, regardless of body style, you were treated like family. I guess it was because that were so few of us that we were excited to see anyone else in a Mopar.

in about 1972 i was 9 yrs old, my dad was a ford guy, he had a 66or 7 fairlane gta 390 auto ,and a 7 litre galaxie xl, i thought they were pretty cool, he used to do burnouts on the street where we lived, across the street was a little service station that worked on alot of hot rods, so i saw alot of cool stuff then, then one day i i heard a car start up own the alley, a 70 cuda 440 six pack b5 , the guy had aluminum slots and N 50's hanging out the rear qtrs. was that thing cool!, then he got on the road and let her rip, after that, my dads fords were all but a memory for me! lol, i was totally hooked on mopars, fast forward about 11 years or so, i got a job as a tire buster and basic mechanic at  a goodyear dealer, there was a guy there into ford pick ups and harleys, we became good friends, he was a bit older, one day he asked us all if we could give him a hand , he was building a new garage ,replacing the 1 car garage on the new house he bought with a bigger 2.5 garage, anyhow, he wanted help tearing apart the old one . he said  to me the day we were all going over there," bring a truck or something  i have a bunch of old parts i dont need anymore" cool! parts!  i get there and its a whole bunch of 6 pack and max wedge parts, seems he was into mopars earlier in life, we get to talking ans he says. " let me show you a pic of my old cuda"  i look at the pic and recognize the car and area in which it was taken,  here it was the car and guy that lived about a half a block from me and got me thinking about mopars in the first place!  incidentaly, i still have the six pack setup he gave me almost 20 years ago, that one from a 71 superbee he had ,and i god a whole trunk full of parts for 50 bucks, great score too!
