The master cylinder I have has the number 8481187 on the bottom..it looks like the correct one, but I cant find any info on this...I'm sure one of you guys can help!?I have a new rebuilt booster sitting here, number 18268...it is an exact match to the one I took off of the AAR..but is it correct? The master attached to it looks different then what I need....I'm sending the master back. I'm heading to the Indy swap on saturday and would like to find a correct re-built master to save some time... I do know it should all be painted black when finished.
Thanks! :dunno:

The new one is pictured below...but the one I need is in the second pic...like I said I have one that is part #8481187.... looks right, is it correct for 1970?....

The one you have there looks aftermarket.  In fact it looks like a drum brake master cylinder, as it appears the two fluid reservoirs are the same size.  A disc brake master cylinder has one reservoir much larger than the other, as the circuit for the calipers requires much more brake fluid than the circuit with the wheel cylinders.  Your lower picture shows the correct master cylinder for a '70 E body with discs.  Here is a picture of the bottom of one.
