6-Way Seats Into '72-74 Cars?

I have seen on Barry's website "how to install" the 6 way seats etc but only for 1970-71.
Will 6-way seat adjusters from either 70 or 71 cars bolt straight into 72-74 'Cudas/Challengers?

Will they mate to the 72-74 style seat base and floor? I'm going to get one if possible.
I know I need E-Body seat adjusters rails and Harmsauto braces, anything else?

Surely the must fit into the later cars, but, beter to ask first as they aren't cheap. 
One last question, how much height can you gain in seating positions over stock seats? 1-2" or more like 1-5"?

It's been a long time, back in the day I added 6-ways to a 72 Challenger.  Just drilled the extra holes and put it in, no big deal.  If I remember, the extra height was in the 2-3" range.  Not huge, but you could tell the difference.

Anyone else know if it will go in to a 72-74 car? Just need some extra holes drilled as Katfish said.
I just don't want to spend up to $1K USD on something that may not fit.

Yupe, thanks Lunchy, I knew that I needed those but thanks anyway. Basically, all I need to know now, before I can go and buy the setup, is: will they fit into a 72-74 style car as it was only a 70-71 option.

Hopefully Barry chimes in sooner or later........

i put one in a 72 cuda years ago.  I believe that i had to drill two new holes on the rocker panel side as the studs did not line up with the existing holes; the holes on the trans hump lined up fine.  I did not use the under floor pan braces (did not have them or even know about them).  The adjuster assembly bolted to the existing seat bottom using the factory tapped holes.  I was told that the unit came from a cuda but can't confirm.

When viewed from the outside, the drivers seat was the same height as the passenger seat (at least the top of the headrest area was the same height).  hope this helps some

While you're "here". What height difference did you notice going up? 2" higher or perhaps 5"?
