Dukes of Hazzard
« on: March 04, 2007 - 04:35:38 PM »
Thought I would pass along this.  "The Dukes of Hazzard:  The Beginning" is on tonite on ABC Family at 7:00 p.m. central time.  Looks cheesy, but it's got the General Lee.

Daisy?  Not by half,  Bo & Luke? Not even close.  Uncle Jesse?  Passable.  The General, of course.

Show was a real yawn,  bad acting, thin plot, worst of all, wrong timeline.  Supposed to be a prequal to the series, but set in 2006 - 2007?  Bo and Luke just get in Hazzard and immediately find the General underwater?  Not how it happened in the series.

On a scale of 1 to 10

10 - After all, it stars a 69 Charger.

Sorry, Dave. I tried to watch it just because it had the Charger. But :eek4: And the guys that played Bo and Luke weren't even hot. :poopoke: Crip , I think Old Willie looked better :puke: :smilielol: :smilielol: And when the Charger was under water it wasn't even a Charger door on it. :screwy:

I watched it all.  Frankly, it surprised me that it was on ABC "Family" with the sub plot being Bo and Luke's main goal of trying to get laid.  I don't usually watch that channel, but if that is considered "family" entertainment, then my faimily is never watching tv again.  I didn't think the show was all that bad, for an adult audiance.  I thought they were trying too hard to copy the recent big screen version, which I didn't really think they needed to do.  Sorry to rant a little.  I'm glad I did not let my kids watch it.

Didn't watch and won't,...........but it sounds from most of these reviews that it is like everything else related to the purpose of making money at the expense of destroying hundreds of Chargers (accross the years) as total B.S. Just a big waste anyway you consider it. Sorry folks, don't know how you can even begin to think of that as worthwhile  :dunno:    :2cents:
