I corrected the dates of this cruise below:

This was posted on our St. Louis Mopar website.  Those around the St. Louis area might want to show up although it is on a MONDAY.  The people around Tulsa, may want to checkout the digging up of the 1957 Plymouth.  I live a couple of miles from the St. Louis plant so I might come out to cruise if the weather is nice that night. I don't know how big or small this thing might be in St. Louis.   Here is a link to the video of the buried 1957 Plymouth Belvedere:  http://buriedcar.straxis.com/images/history-video.jpg

Hi All,
My name is Claudia Scott and I just signed up on the SLAM website.  My husband Bill and I live in Sullivan MO.  We each have our own classic car, mine is a 1960 Plymouth Fury convertible and Bill’s is a 1948 Dodge coupe.  Based on what I’ve seen on the website, I think we already know some of you.
One of the reasons I joined at this time was to let everybody know about Tulsarama, if you don’t already.  In 1957 as part of their Tulsa Celebration, the good folks of Tulsa buried a time capsule that included a new 1957 Plymouth.  On June 15th, 2007, they are digging it up and there is going to be a bunch of car shows and car related stuff going on that weekend.  For more information, go to www.buriedcar.com. There are hundreds of MOPAR fans, especially those partial to the Forward Look era (1956-1961 MOPAR) that are planning to be there.  Everyone is welcome.
As part of all of this, we are setting up meeting points around the country so that we can caravan into Tulsa.  One of the meeting points is St. Louis on Monday, June 11th and leaving for Tulsa on Tuesday morning June 12th.  I have volunteered to be the St. Louis contact point.  In that capacity, I am trying to set up a small MOPAR only cruise in for Monday evening and arrange a “head quarters” hotel for those coming into town..  Right now I am trying to get in touch with the Chrysler training center, which is across I-44 from the assembly plants in Fenton, to use their parking lot and contacting hotels in that general area.
I know a cruise on a Monday is a little strange, but I’d like to give the folks coming in a good St. Louis welcome and have lots of MOPAR fans show up.  Anybody out there interested?  .

Thanks, and great to be part of the group

No doubt this will be all over the news when they lift it.

Now where is that Hemi E body time capsule at?

Watch the video in my link. The car was $2000 when new and buried with some gas and oil because those things may not be available in 2007.

I've seen some of those buried hemi e-bodies.  Usually they're in a barn with a ton of bird or chicken sh!t on them.

From our St. Louis Mopar group:

The Stratford Inn (I-44 across from the Chrsyler plants) has agreed
to host the MOPAR only cruise in to meet up with the folks on the
road to Tulsa. They will set up a bbq and have food (pork steaks,
hamburgers, etc) and drinks for sale. they also gave us a rate for
rooms for the people staying there.

There will be no entry fee but we will have folks register their
cars. The registrations will be used to draw for door prizers. I
already have a couple of hats and shirts from one of the companies
that Bill represents and he is going to talk to the UAW locals and
the plants to see if we can get more.

I noticed on the SLAM website that you (we) support some local
charities and I was wondering if SLAM wanted to sell 50/50 tickets
with the proceeds for one of the charities. If you do, I would need
somebody to volunteer to sell the tickets and take care of the
money.

Also, I would appreciate it if folks can let me know before hand if
they are planning on going. The Stratford Inn has asked that I call
them a week or two before with some ball park numbers so that they
can have enough space blocked off for cars and have an idea on how
much food to have available.

I am going to put a flyer together, hopefully in the next week or
so. Here is a summary:

Road to Tulsa MOPAR Cruise

where: Stratfod Inn, Fenton, MO
when: Monday, June 11th
4 PM to 8 PM (or maybe 9 PM)
