Don't see many gold '70 Challengers!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Your pictures came out better than mine - Thank you for sharing them!

That black Challenger (the second picture) was really nice, but I couldn't help wondering why they put that white stripe on there.

The gold one is interesting.  The couple that own it are really nice - I talked to them a while back, when I was considering painting mine back to the original gold.  Apparently, that is a GM gold, as painted by the previous owner.  Most of that car is original, and it is driven regularly.

For my money, that red Cuda (the first car shown in the Part II post - with the Legendary license plate) was the nicest E-body in the show.

Hopefully, I can have my bucket of bolts Challenger in the show in a couple of years.

I did get a picture of the crowd favorites at Autorama.  Not Mopars (I think???), but shown below.   :D

To answer a couple of your questions or add to your comments.

Pictures: Try not to use the flash on your camera, use shutter priority at the lowest shutter speed possible (less than 1/30_sec).  Hold the camera as steady as possible.  It works for me in much darker buildings, like the air force museum.
Pin Stripping was quite popular in it's day, especially with the older crowd like my parents (+80 yrs old now)
Your car looks great in the pics you posted before, your way ahead of me that's for sure.  Hope to see it at the Woodward Dream cruise soon.  I lightened up your Cars pic for you, but it looks like you may have done that already.  BTW, It was quite the zoo around Cars Display when we were there.  It would of been cool if the King's car (Richard Petty) would of been there.  I agree with you the red cuda was the best one there.

Snowdog:
Thank you for your kind words and helpful advice.  My camera does not have adjustable shutter speed (...that I know of), but I did discover that it works better without the flash.  I took some pictures later at Autorama that came out much better, but most were just portions of cars for my reference (sample attached below, showing a mirror image of a Cuda chassis).

I just thought the 'Cars' display was funny - I could not believe how many people wanted their picture taken next to 'Mater.

Woodward?  Well, never the day of the Cruise...Maybe about a week before.  Hope you enjoyed Autorama!
