Wheel lip trimming

Since my new 1/4 panel was put on you can see by the pic it is wider than original...so anyone have a the right idea on how to trim it down to match the other side??? what steps??

Mine were the same, I didn't bother doing anything with them as I am putting on the stainless wheel well trim which hides all of that though.

I suppose the down and dirty way would be to take some masking tape and tape off the part you want to save.
Then get out the Makita with the grinding wheel........

Probably should have done this before paint though but it should turn out pretty well as long as you take off very small amounts at a time and not let it heat up.
Touch up with a little left over paint on a brush or if you don't have any green paint just brush a bit of primer on the ground off inside edge.

Maybe cut a little via the method suggested by 360cuda and then roll the edge of what's left?

Since it is painted, I would use some masking tape and use a dremel tool with a very thin cut-off wheel.  They generate much less heat.

Trimmed it out with a dremel....paint chipped a little...will have to touch it up i guess ... much more clearance now! 

took off about 3/8 inch on the aftermarket 1/4 panel...

The guy that hung the 1/4 skin should have trimmed that just after re spotting it to the outer wheelhouse. Then it gets finished with the body. You will want to cover that cut with paint asap. BTW, if you were only cuting thru one thickness of steel, you may want to take a good look at the rest of the job. That's supposed to be a double thick flange there between the wheelhouse and the skin.

  In fact, when I did mine, I trimmed the outer back to the existing inner wheel well.
