What power plant does everyone think I should use?... ...or a 440 with a 440 source stroker kit?
The insanity continues, I am now looking for a rotisery, going to gut it and re-paint everything and put it all back together with a new power plant. I already found a A-833 to replace the 3-speed and a pistol grip shifter. I have a hard time half-assing anything I guess. The good thing is the car is virtually rust free, only has a few bubbles around the drivers side quarter. I read farmboy70's thread on his 73 340-4speed restoration and was inspired to try to do the same with my car minus all the rust repair. That car turned out great! My paint is a crappy 80 something job anyway, looks good from 20 feet but........What power plant does everyone think I should use? It's a factory 318 - 3 speed manual car but it's just no fun to drive. I was thinking either a pumped up 340-360 or a 440 with a 440 source stroker kit. Mike
