1970 Challenger Repop Sideview Mirrors?
« on: March 15, 2007 - 09:45:04 PM »
Hello Members,

Just received repop chrome mirrors from PG Classic.  They are very nice pieces (with the exception that the LH remote mirror will need to be returned as it is defective; loose piece behind mirror {I think it's a cable end} that renders the remote inoperable).  But besides that, in comparing the two (mirror-side to mirror-side), it's clear that they are two different shapes.  I was hoping that someone could let me know if this is correct for 1970.  I've included pictures (from the sellers store) to show the difference (sorry, but these are the only photos I have).  Also, I've included a photo of the sellers 1970 Dart, Demon, Duster outside rearview set.  This photo clearly demonstrates the differences in size and shape.  The ones I got, look just like this, but with the correct bases.  Can anyone help?
Thanks, Joe

Yes, the 2 different shapes are correct. In 71, they looked more like each other.

Thanks a lot for the rapid response.  I kinda figured they were correct, but just wanted to be sure.  In some of my reference books it looked like they were different, but it was still too hard to tell.  The confidence I hear in your responses makes me feel at ease about this set.

Thanks again, Joe
