When I was in high school some guy got expelled for having his hunting gear and his shotgun in his truck because someone saw it and reported it.
So?
He probably got arrested because he did something illegal.

And people who do illegal things generally deserve to be arrested (Dont try and argue with me on that)

For example, My mate harry got fined on saturday night for underage drinking. His defence to this is that when the police picked him up he only had about 20ml of alcohol left on him.
When he asked me if I would give him some money to help pay the fine, I told him no. Because It was his fault for getting caught. It doesnt matter how much alcohol he was carrying at the time, he was doing something illegal and he got caught. His problem, not mine.

I was in High School back in the 70's and your comparisons are pretty dead on. It is a real shame the way this country has changed. It's better to be a failure and " feel good about yourself " than be a success in life. Because of you are a success then you must have cheated someone out their chance to succeed. Kids today use the excuse that they can't do better because they don't have everything they need. What they mean is they need the Ipod nano and every possible game system. When we grew up we had what our familes could afford and was happy to get it. If we wanted better we went out and WORKED to get it. Now you offer a kid a chance to make some extra money for some work and they look at you like your stupid. Why should they work when they are being tought that the goverment will take care of all their needs.
Enough of my soapbox, now I'm going to work. I will drive one of the cars I bought and paid for and go to a job and earn a honest days pay. It's going to be 80 here today so I will roll the windows down to hear the flowmasters on my 340 Duster. Live is make you make of it, for me it's good.

THe liberals are slowly taking control,, with the aide of the biased press and news media, supported by the ACLU with there senseless lawsuits and court actions.  The liberal judges are  interpreting the laws from the bench in there personal opinions. At least the supreme court did strike down Washington D.C's 30 year old gun control law, but you will only hear a 2 second blurb about it on the mainstream media, but as soon as someone gets shot by an already convicted felon with a stolen gun its on the news for days,,,,,,,
I could really run with this but I'll only make myself mad

You're right, I think most in my generation are hysterical chips of s#1t. But, the thing that really gets to me about things like this is "Us". You and I.

We can see the problems. Why don't we do anything about it? Are we just too preoccupied to fix the problems? "I would really like to do something but I have to catch American Idol tonight"

I blame myself and consider myself a real F'ing pansy about it. I think everyone here should take some responsibility too, not just blame the obvious things. We're all a bunch of lemmings pointing fingers at the finger pointers.

Problems will only come to rise if we let them.
