Muscle City Glass
« on: April 06, 2007 - 12:48:06 AM »
Anyone know what is going on with Muscle City Glass?  We ordered a new front date coded windshield from them a while back and we called to check on our windshield last week and all we get is a recording stating "due to circumstances beyond their control they are no longer taking orders after March 13th".  They said they would be in touch with their past customers but we have not heard anything from them.  I left a message on their phone but they have not called us back.  They charged our credit card for the windshield.  I guess I will have to call the credit card company about the charge.  I was just wondering if any of you guys have heard anything about them?  We want our money back or our windshiled.
Happy Easter everyone.

Not sure but I've had 50/50 results from them. Glass is perfect but their service the first time I ordered was shocking, no emails after ordering. Took about 4-6 months to get my glass after hounding and hounding. The 2nd order I got about 2 years later as I had no choice but to use them was perfect, a real turn around. Took 1 week after ordering to get it too my door. The first time I ordered was all via email. The 2nd order was done via phone so that may have had something to do? Anyhow, maybe they went under, not enough business? Though there would be a big demand for their products. Hope you get your item and or money back as soon as possible.

I could be mistaken,  :clueless:  but I think this is the place my bodyman had problems with too. When he had problems they gave him the phone# to the guys they were getting it from. Of course it took awhile. Turned out to be not  that far from here. They are just a middle man.

Thanks guys for the replies.  I tried to call the phone number today and guess what.  It is now disconnected.  I called my credit card company and told them what happened and they gave me a credit of the amount that was charged.  They said if by chance we get the glass let them know and they will put the amount back on.  At this time I do not think we will get anything from them.  I will be very surprised if we do.  Looks like we will be ordering a new windshield from a local glass company.  It will be a lot cheaper to order it local and I can go pick it up.  It won't have the date code but that is okay.  Happy Easter everyone.

Ted,
Yes, ECS does do date coded glass.  I will call them next week and see when we can get a windshield.  I had read good things about Muscle City Glass so we decided to give them a try.  I wish we would have used to ECS in the first place.  Thanks

I'm going to need a windshield too - for a 70 Challenger. Does ECS have a website or can you post the phone number?  What would be a correct date code for a 70 Chally built in november of 69?  :clueless:
