Dakota shorty headers in SB E or B body?
« on: March 25, 2007 - 07:47:04 PM »
Have any of you guys & gals tried Dakota stainless shory headers on a mild SB E or B body. I read a post about Jeep magnum headers and didn't know if they were the same design or different. This seems like a great choice for moderate performing 318s with good ground clearance....

my experience would suggest that th etruck shortys will exit at the rear & will interfere with something back there, firewall linkages ...something

I am a bit curious as well. If my 3.9 V6 comes together, I will be left with very few choices for prefab headers. I am hoping that the dakota shorties will dump somewhere I can fit the turbo flanges on, and still keep the engine mounted as far back in the engine bay as possible. I have a feeling it will end up being a custom job though.
