.120" thick intake gaskets for stock heads
« on: March 23, 2007 - 09:52:44 AM »
Guys,
Do any of you know if someone makes a .120" thick intake gasket? When assembling my engine, I had poor port alignment. Since my heads were completely assembled and freshly bolted to my block, I ended up cutting the intake to get it aligned. The heads are now back off for oil (valve seal issues) and I plan on cutting the heads, so I don't have to cut future intakes. If I try to bolt up my cut intake after I cut the heads, I'm going to have to double gaskets or find the gasket I'm asking about. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Thanks,
drag-n

you could get a mfg shop to water jet out an alum spacer , it would be easy to copy an intake gasket

Good thinking Chryco, even if they had to CNC mill it, those guys can set it up so fast it wouldnt take hardly any time.
