83/4 differential to Ontario, Canada

Looking to order a re-manufactured....3rd member complete from someone like Strange or Dr Diff in the US. Has anybody done this lately and shipped it UPS? From what I can tell thru our logistics folks where I work this should be 'duty free' coming into CANADA.....thus we pay GST,PST (14%) tax on it. IF  you've done this what  charges  did you see or am I better off to source the ass'y  from  somewhere  in Canada.....particularily want the clutch style sure grip so it's  rebuildable........thx

I would ship with anyone including dog sled before using UPS , they will kill you with brokerage fees into canada , you could have it shipped to the border & go pick it up & bring it in yourself though

   You could always contact National Moparts (www.nationalmoparts.com) buy a 489 case off them and I know a dude in Hamilton that can build one up for you to your exact specs. Nigel at NMP might do it as well.

Cuda-Cable - I was really waiting to end my project before I get rid of my excess parts - but I can tell you I live in Salmon Arm, BC and have a complete (brakes and plates negotiable) 73 E body 489/3.55 SG, housing and axles for sale. I want $700CDN for the whole unit and the gears are good. No diff whine or anything and the SG takes all of your effort with two arms to turn the wheel when one wheel is jacked off the ground.
Manitoulin Transport operate from Ontario to BC. We may be able to talk them into a load back rate.
