499 Stroker Video - Works Now!
« on: April 03, 2007 - 08:59:17 PM »
Ill try to post a vid of my motor starting up after all the freeze plug issues !!!
Also I believe my rockers need adjusted or something...I dont think the rockers are hitting the valve covers but I'll have to double check ...

You can hear the rocker noise go in and out ??? any ideas ??? thx
also when you gas it it goes away ??? wonder if I need more shims in there for side to side movement???

The throttle response is great though and revs good!!!

Special thanks to all who has helped me make my car what it is now..It really looks like a mopar now!
I LOVE this Website!

 :woo:  GROOVY MAN  :smokin:

as to the intermittent noise, reminds me of a bad bearing, spins a while then seizes. I had an alternator do that once.

Sounds good at the exhaust and when you rev it. Did you find out what the noise was? Sounded like a bad alternator bearing ? Looks good though, real nice Challenger!

The problem is that every part under that hood is brand new.... and it's frustrating pinpointing out problems.... the alternator is brand new as well.... but when my car gets out of the shop getting the front disc conversion on and new front suspension i'll check that out ???

Sorry to hear about your frustrations with that sound.

The video looks real good and it sounds great!  I'm not a big fan of Flowmasters but your car is making me like them!

Your car looks wicked mean from the rear with the rear lights on and hearing that exhaust!
