    I would like to restore some1970 cuda seat belts that are fairly rusty and would appreciate any info on how to prepare a surface for chroming? THANKS ROB

    Rob,

      Are you going to restore these yourself? I think the rechroming places dip them in acid to remove everything.  :dunno: Then copper, nickle, chrome is applied.

    Try http://www.ssnake-oyl.com/ they are spendy but heard they do good work.
