Next Step ???
« on: April 15, 2007 - 12:38:55 PM »
I am planning on adding a six pack to my 440 and I currently have a 727 Tourqueflite transmission with a 3:51 gear. I do plan on changing to a Kiesler, but can't decide whether to stay with the automatic or go with a 5 speed manual. I miss the feel of the clutch/engine. Should I convert it over ??? Also, should I concentrate on the drivetrain first before doing the six pack ??? I have never driven a car with the Kiesler Automatic w/overdrive, so it is hard to decide. I know what a c;utch is going to feel like, but have no idea about the automatic. Any input on the feel of the automatics from Kiesler or any where else ???

I don't like the fact that you are making a "morphadite" , if you need a part in the future(say the bellhousing cracks),you are going to have to get one from them and only them and pay their price. If you need a part quickly, you won't be able to get it local and get your car going.I would definitely rather install a Mopar 518. :grinyes:

Thanks TacTransman, That was a little bit of an eye opener. Thats why I love this site and why I ask questions. I may not be able to do the actual work, which raises the costs alot due to physical problems after burn accident. Therefore, I really have to do my homework so that I only do it once, can not afford mistakes - THANKS Again.

I have never driven a Keisler  automatic , never learned how !!
personally I love 4 spds & simply could not give up a manual trans for an auto , it just makes driving too boring
