Shawn,
You have posted to a group of individuals who I believe are the most knowledgeable group around about Ebodys.  That also makes them very critical. You've gotten a lot of criticism and have taken it well.  :clapping:

custom colors/graphics/stripes etc etc limit the customer base drastically
I think a car in solid black would probably sell more easily, but I sure wouldn't kick that car out of bed for eating crackers. I like it more than the green hockey stripe cars he's sold recently.

I personally feel like these recreation cars are me more fun then the orginals.  Obviously growing up on Mopar, I have too much respect for a great historical numbers car to really thrash around town in them.  The thought of being the guy who blew up a matching numbers T/A or AAR would be too much for my wallet and ego.

These recreation cars can always be repainted, motors swapped...whatever..it just takes money to do it.  I do feel that 150 is high asking for this car.  A more reasonable figure would put the car at 65-85 mark.  But a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.  That paint scheme may be what sets it apart from all the similar recreations and makes someone willing to pay a heavier price tag.

Car to start the project 10-15
Body work and paint  25-40
Hemi Drive train   12-18

47 -73 Thousand?????

I wouldn't mind having a Hemi clone built someday.  I would prefer a Hemi convertible.  However, if I want it done how I want it and this paint scheme is probably too much a strecth from what I would accept.  I agree that all black is probably the most appealing color for resale.

Hmm....for $150k, it better be close to a Matt Delaney-type rig:

I.e. rotisserie restored, fuel injection, AC, PW, rack 'n pinion steering, etc.

Look at your competition on e-bay!  For $150k, you can get a cloned convertible!

I understand you're trying to make a business out of flipping "done" cars, but know the market.  Moparheads are savvy and the dumbheads w/money are far and few between.  You may get lucky, but you'll be selling that car for a year to find that one dumbarse w/$$$.

Delaney's AAR is still one of my favorites. I love the Fikse wheels.

:iagree: I think a more stock appearing Cuda would appeal to a much larger audience. Put any mopar color, a hockey stick stripe and a set of rallye wheels, on that Cuda and I'll be it would bring more $ that it will the way it looks now. And it would amount to more $ in your pocket because you wouldn't have to spring for the after market wheels, low pro tires and custom paint job. Just my  :2cents:

Been a very interesting post.

Regardless of my opinions or taste, I still wish you the very best with your sale.  I hope that you are able to get big dollars for your work and continue to build more cars.  If someone is willing to pay your asking, then more power to you.

That Delaney car is sweet!

Also when I said rush things earlier, I mean in removing certain parts, paying attention to detail, that type of stuff.  Like the green one in the other post, lots of stuff were not removed in the jambs, underhood, etc... it doesnt take long to remove parts and it looks 10x's better!
