Neutral switch wiring
« on: April 26, 2007 - 08:03:56 AM »
 :scared:
Does anyone know what the mopar part number is for the neutral switch wiring from the fire wall to the transmission?  I called the local Dodge dealer and asked for the transmission wiring for a 1970 dodge challenger to a 727 small block transmission.  They ordered a part but it needs to be spliced into my current wiring.  I'd prefer to buy the whole wiring associated with the neutral switch if possible.  Can anyone provide me with the part number associated with the whole wire set?  Thanks.  :chatting:

I got mine from year one...no splicing needed plug into firewall then down to tranny.. and if you have a small block it is a 904 tranny .... 727 is for big block!

Try P/N 00910 from Year One.  That's what I used on mine but make sure it's right for yours.  Year One techs are very helpful.  I think they have stock on the harness too!

:working: Thanks guys.  I appreciate the heads up on the part at year one.  I paid for the part at the Dodge dealer thinking they could provide the whole wiring set.  Now to not pay a fee for placing it back in inventory I need to know what the mopar equivalent part number would be for the piece found at year one.  Any body out there know the answer to this question?  :clueless:

So I ordered the part from Year one yesterday.  So far no shipping information or email on when to expect the part.  I'd still appreciate any information on what the part number would be ordering via a Dodge dealership. :faint:

I don't think you can get the complete harness to just plug it in from the dealer,it's aftermarket only (except for the repair kit you already got)

:22yikes: Thanks Tractransman.  I appreciate that feedback.  I've also enjoyed reading your threads in the past.  They are always informative and helpful.  I guess I'm lucky to get the part I did from the dealer.  I may end up using it  until year one comes through for me on the complete harness.  I just hope I'm not on the end of a retooling phase like I've been in the past for a few parts from them.  :dunno:
