« on: April 12, 2007 - 08:15:32 PM »
Does anyone currently run one of these...been reading on them and the article says drop the oil pan and bolt it right in even with the motor still in the car....  :clapping:

worried about cap walk as when I get my new EZ fully ported heads will take me into the danger zone  :-\

We use them , you need to replace the main studs & carefully shim the girdle between the nut on the cap & the girdle to keep the girdle flat

I run one in my car, after 50 pass's we took the engine apart and there was no crank movement.  Not sure about trying to do it in the car tho.

I have a question....whenever I would rev the motor up and after about appx. 6000 rpm ish I can feel movement through the gas pedal like there is a shift in something ??? I originally thought it was the motor moving cause of the torque because my one motor mount bolt would loosen up so I had that fixed and bought a torque strap as well and it still does it... ??? I have solid motor mounts and a torque strap ... any ideas ??? and it started doing this at the end of last summer ... ???

I havenever tried to install one in a car , it could be possible if you hold all the washers in place with grease or something , yuo would need to remove the oil pickup tube & install it after the plate is in place , the oil pan can be removed in car so I think the plate could be installed
not sure what the movemnet is though

Who makes the girdle. The good ones need to be carefully fitted to the block and caps. Anything that simply bolts to existing points cant do much to help cap walk. It might ease your mind, but the enigne's no better off.

Chenoweth has several...as do Hughes, Indy, and BCR Products plus I'm sure 3-4 other places.
