Easier or harder
« on: April 18, 2007 - 01:26:35 PM »
Your opinion please, is it easier when replacing a throwout bearing to pull the engine or pull the tranny? The engine is a sm. block with headers and would be using a nice overhead chain setup. Otherwise it's jacking the car up on stands and rolling around on the floor. :feedback:

I would say Tranny.  You only need to pull it back far enough to clear the bearing, so it can stay on the jack.
