Some questions...

Is this electronic or point ignition? How did you verify no spark? If there truly is no spark, we would need to know if you have 12 volts going into the ballast resistor. So, it could be the ignition switch, ballast resistor, coil, or ignition module.

If you pull a spark plug wire, and hold it with insulated pliers close to ground(valve cover), you should see a spark when the engine cranks. You will need a helper for this obviously. You didn't by chance have your distributor out recently, did you? A common problem is putting them back in 180* out of phase. Sorry to get off track... if you have a volt meter, with the key in the "on" position, you should see about 12 volts going into the ballast resistor. If you pull the connector off the ignition module, there should also be 12 volts on one of the pins of the connector. This will tell us your wiring is good, as well as your ignition switch. Then we can work from there.

hey guys It finally happened!!!!! She started up and ran for a while. Granted there are still some minor timing and vacuum issues but she started up and it sounded great. We tore it apart about a 8 months ago and have been tinkering  here and there. Thanks for the help it ended up being the two wires from the dist. werent making a cood enough connection. My wiring harness was for a 318 so we had to make a extension to connect the dist to the wiring harness and that piece wasnt making a very good connection.
