HAHA.. Blugil on ebay
« on: June 25, 2007 - 07:40:57 AM »
OK.. this is my other barracuda that I sold a couple years back. My wife & I formerly called it "blugil". I sold it for $7k and this guy wants $17.5 obo??   :roflsmiley:

He also says there's a 373 and a 727.. I know for a fact it's a 907 / 318. The same engine still shown in the pics. The car is worth 7k.. over 10k.. no way. If anyone was planning to bid, I can give you the honest scoop, which I told the fella from WA who purchased it.

The engine in the pic sure looks like a small block to me.  But it is hard to find any '71 for less than $20,000.

He changed it now to read "A VERY STRONG 318 WITH 4 BARREL AND CONSOLE SLAPTICK AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION."

I'll bet ya it sells pretty high but he has lowered the buy it now to 16K

I owned that 71 38/4 speed a few years back. Needed a lot of work and I didn't want to get into a huge restoration. The nickname for that car was Ol Rusty.........that and the previous owner who sold it to me called it Baby Swiss.....as in swiss cheese.

The other cuda which sold for 18k was a real BS cuda.. and had tons of bodywork. "Blugill" is a 318 car which needs full 1/4's, full trunk, front & rear pans and problem area around the rear window, 1 fender apron, rust hole on the firewall and extensive body work. front valance shot, 318 / 904 worth practicall nothing.

however, frame is pretty solid & rockers and fenders are workable. The cuda needs "complete" restoration. Anyone looking at the car in person will not pay over 9k for it.. tops IMO

The guy took off the best part. I sold it with a full fiberglass (aar restorations) shaker hood and bubble and baseplate setup. Don't get me wrong, the car can be something nice, but anything over 9k is just plain stupid.
